Day 1

 

09 May 07 


The first day of the Police Unity Tour Ride started in Morris Township, New Jersey. After a Memorial Ceremony the Tour riders rode approximately 24 miles where they stopped at the Watchung Police Department for a brief ceremony to honor Officer Matthew Melchionda. EOW 03-08-2007.

The ride then continued for another 13 miles where it ended Royal Albert's Best Western Hotel.

Prince Albert is a strong supporter of Law Enforcement and a great friend of the Police Unity Tour. Photos will be posted showing his hotel.

Day 2




10 May 07

After an early start the riders rode 23 miles for their first break at the Old State Police Barracks in Bordentown.

The group then rode another 28 miles to their lunch stop at the Old State Police Barracks in Willingboro.

The ride began again for another 30 miles where the riders stopped in a parking lot just below the Commodore Barry Bridge.

Once the break was finished the riders were assembled and made ready. Support Motorcycle Traffic Officers then shut down all vehicle traffic to the bridge. The riders then rode on to the bridge for the challenging ride up the 6% grade.

The riders rode 8 miles to the Holiday Inn Select in Wilmington where they stopped for the night.

Day 3



11 May 07

Starting out early again the riders rode 28 mile for their first break at Lockey Center.

After another 18 miles of riding the riders stopped for their lunch break at the Galena Fire House.

The riders then started out for a 33 mile leg where they stopped at the Queens County Fallen Hero's Memorial.

The final leg was 14 miles to the Chesapeake Bay Business Center.

Day 4




12 May 07


The day started with a 21 mile leg. After a short break, the riders rode another 8 miles where they arrived at the Pentagon. They waited in the parking lot until the riders who were riding from Virginia Beach arrived.

With this group now totaling almost 1000, the riders then completed the short leg to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
